In 1954, Frank Lloyd Wright began work on the pyramidal shaped Beth Sholom Synagogue in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, now a registered National Historic Landmark and open to the general public. This table top globe and stand was adapted from one of Wright’s designs for a hexagonal walnut and copper planter in the building.
